Mini Split & Window Units

Mini Split & Window Units

Mini splits, also known as ductless mini splits, are heating and cooling systems that do not require the use of ducts to distribute air throughout a building. Instead, they consist of an outdoor unit, called a condenser, and one or more indoor units, called air handlers or evaporator coils, that are mounted on walls or ceilings. The indoor and outdoor units are connected by a conduit that houses the power cable, refrigerant tubing, and a condensate drain.

The outdoor unit compresses and circulates refrigerant to the indoor units, where it evaporates and absorbs heat. The cooled or heated air is then distributed into the room through the air handlers. The mini split systems have their own thermostat to control the temperature in each room. They offer a high level of temperature control and energy efficiency, and are typically more flexible and easier to install than traditional central HVAC systems.

Mini splits are ideal for homes or buildings that do not have ductwork or have limited space for ducts, or for specific rooms or areas that need independent temperature control. They are also a great option for home additions, garages, and for spot cooling or heating.
